Commissioning Engineer

Our market ready platform, VICTA, is an optionally crewed / payload carrying dual-domain platform designed to operate at speed over range, capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery of effects within contested waters. It is a unique, innovative British platform focused primarily on the defence market but with utility beyond.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Support delivery & trials activities.
  • Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) Coxswain
  • Carry out quality control and commissioning activities.
  • Fault finding and defect rectification.
  • Craft, vehicle and equipment asset control and maintenance.
  • Travel and support to offsite testing locations.
  • Support R&D, build and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recognised mechanical or electrical qualification.

 

Required:

  • Travel to SSC Sties and test locations.
  • ML5 or ENG1 Medical (or ability to achieve)

 

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting diving operations.
  • Experience with LV / HV systems.
  • Crane / Slinger experience
  • L2 Powerboat (commercially endorsed or able to achieve)

 

Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.*
