Chair of SubSea Craft made Dame Commander in King’s Birthday Honours

SubSea Craft is pleased to congratulate its company chair, the Rt Hon Penny Mordaunt, who has been recognised by His Majesty the King for her contribution to the defence of the United Kingdom.

SubSea Craft company chair the Rt Hon Penny Mordaunt has been appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2025. This award is in recognition of her contribution to defence and all those working to protect the people and interests of our nation.

Mordaunt has a background in the Royal Navy Reserve and served for fourteen years as the Member of Parliament for Portsmouth North, involving ministerial tenures as Minister of State for the Armed Forces and Secretary of State for Defence.

During her political career, Mordaunt established the Maritime Task Force and secured the reinvigoration of Portsmouth dockyard, promoting the shipbuilding industries that are integral to the city’s heritage and success.
