Responsibilities will include:

• Develop Process Engineering function to enable our journey into production
• Develop mechanisms for capturing all manufacturing processes during prototype builds
• Develop roadmap for productionisation of build processes, including protocols for testing improved methods, materials & equipment
• Investigate and recommend capital investments that drive efficiency, remove technological roadblocks and increase flexibility from the production process
• Develop standardised formats for production control documentation
• Identify opportunities to progress digitally, such that the SSC production execution system is at the forefront/ best-in-class for multi-platform production sites
• Identify opportunities to incorporate digital learning and data capture in our production lines
• Work within the scope of our ISO accreditations and our QMS & recommend amendments that would help to align with our business objectives

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

Essential –

• Experience of working within a high value, low volume production environment
• Experience of productionising new technologies and new products
• Production experience with composite structures

Desirable –

• Degree qualified within engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• Recognised Project Management experienced and qualification
• Use of agile toolsets

Working Conditions:

The role will primarily be based in the SubSea Craft office in Portsmouth, UK. The position will involve work in an office as well as a manufacturing environment and occasionally at sea during trials, which may present physical challenges and require adherence to safety protocols.

Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.*
